Senior Staff Nurse

The Senior Staff Nurse will provide advanced bedside nursing care, patient monitoring, medication administration, junior staff guidance, clinical documentation, and patient safety support at Preethi Hospitals, Madurai. This requires B.Sc Nursing or GNM qualification with minimum 2 years of nursing experience.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide skilled bedside nursing care to patients in assigned clinical departments.
• Monitor vital signs, patient condition, pain, intake-output, and treatment response.
• Administer medicines, injections, IV fluids, oxygen, and prescribed nursing care safely.
• Assist doctors during rounds, procedures, dressing, and emergency care.
• Maintain nursing notes, medication charts, handover records, and patient care documentation.
• Guide junior nurses and new staff on routine care, documentation, and patient safety.
• Follow infection control, hand hygiene, PPE, and biomedical waste management protocols.
• Report abnormal vitals, patient deterioration, or clinical concerns to doctors promptly.
• Support patient admission, transfer, discharge, and shifting activities.
• Coordinate with doctors, pharmacy, laboratory, billing, and patient care teams.
• Maintain patient comfort, privacy, dignity, and confidentiality.
• Deliver safe, ethical, and compassionate nursing care.
